Canal & River Trust:   Kennet & Avon Stretch

 Sydney Buildings is beside one of the most beautiful stretches of the Kennet & Avon Canal.

Bath Skyline Walk

Bathwick Fields [National Trust] are easily accessed from the path opposite Nos. 29/30 SB or by the gate opposite No. 49 SB both leading to the stunning Skyline Walk with wonderful views over Bath.

Smallcombe Cemetery

A rather neglected cemetery has been rescued in recent years by community action and now local volunteers with SBHA support meet regularly to garden and help maintain the site.

Thermae Bath

This is the site for Britain’s original natural thermal spa.

Sydney Gardens

Opened in 1795, it is the only remaining Georgian pleasure garden in the UK.   A restoration project was completed in 2022.  The project manager presented at our 2022 AGM.

Holburne Museum

The museum has been housed in the former Sydney Hotel [at the end of Gt. Pulteney St.] since 1916. It is the city’s first public gallery and had an £11.2m. extension opened in 2011.

Cleveland Pools

Britain’s oldest lido dating back over 200 years and is opening to the public soon, having received a £6.8m Heritage grant to bring it back into community use.
